Modern industrial applications call for both an increase in the density of wiring as well as a reduction in space, time and complexity of wiring. Multiple Level Terminal Blocks offer an ideal solution for this dual-faceted problem.
Multiple Level Terminal Blocks are designed such that the entire volume of the control panel is better utilized rather than just the width and the height. This is accomplished using the following methods:
Reducing the pitch of the terminal block to optimize the space it occupies on the DIN Rail.
Increasing the height of the terminal block and creating separate potential points and levels within the same terminal block.
Incorporating multiple functions into the same terminal blocks such as combining a fuse function at one level and a feed-through function at the other. Or, combining grounding and feed-through functions in the same terminal block at different levels.
And while wiring density is increased, Connectwell also ensures that the product design…
Meets electrical safety standards in terms of clearances to manage creepage
Ensures superior performance, in terms of current and voltage ratings, as required for typical electrical circuits
Maintains ease of wiring with the help of standard tools
Multiple Level Terminal Blocks are categorized mainly based on the following four criteria:
Based on the number of levels and functions, these terminal blocks are generally available in the following configurations
This type of Multiple Level Terminal Block doubles the wiring capability in the same space as a standard terminal block. This type of terminal block is available in the following functional configurations:
Two Feed-through Levels
One Feed-through Level + One Grounding Level
One Feed-through + One Fuse Level
One Feed-through + One Disconnect Level
Application Examples: It is an ideal choice for automation panels where multiple wires are needed to connect and control different circuits.

This Multiple Level Terminal Block variant can be used for tripling the regular wiring density as it offers three connection levels in a standard terminal block space. This type of terminal block is available in the following functional configurations:
Three Feed-through Levels
Two Feed-through Level + One Grounding Level
Two Feed-through + One Fuse Level
Two Feed-through + One Disconnect Level
Application Examples: Triple Level Terminal Blocks are a good solution for sensor wiring, where wires from three wire sensors can be terminated within a single terminal block. Creating a sensor circuit using Triple Level Terminal Blocks and jumpers is very easy. It not only avoids wire looping and extended wiring time but also enhances the aesthetics and wire management of the panel.

This kind of Multiple Level Terminal Block with ground can be used for higher wiring density. This type of terminal block is available in the following functional configurations:
Three Feed-through Levels + One Grounding Level
Two Feed-through + One Fuse Level+ One Grounding
Two Feed-through + One Disconnect Level+One Grounding
Application Examples: These terminal blocks are a good solution for three wire sensor wiring, which requires the grounding of cable screening. It can also be used for 3-phase 4 wire system motor or load connection.

This Multiple Level Terminal Block variant can be used for achieving the highest wiring density inside the panel. It can manage 888 signals per meter, with redundancy, as it offers two connection points on each level in a standard terminal block space.
Application Examples: Eight Level Terminal Blocks are ideal solutions for retrofitting panels with additional signals or accommodating new systems in existing places. The internally shorted version of this terminal makes 32 equipotential points an ideal solution for power distribution in a width of just 9mm. The internally shorted version, with two different levels, can also be used to distribute positive as well as negative potential in 16 different connections.

Screw clamp: The screw clamp is the most popular method of wire termination, offering several distinct advantages over other types of terminations. One of its key benefits is that wires can be connected without any special preparations, making the process quick and efficient. Additionally, the screw clamp connection ensures a vibration-proof termination, enhancing reliability in industrial applications. The wire can be easily connected and disconnected using a standard screwdriver, adding to its user-friendliness. Furthermore, the use of cold-forged, rolled threaded screws allows for high tightening torque, ensuring a secure and durable connection.

Spring clamp: These connections offer a screwless alternative that is just as versatile as traditional screw clamp connections. These connections maintain excellent electrical and mechanical integrity through the use of a high-quality, rust-proof spring clamp. Designed for ease of use, they are not only simple to operate but also provide a vibration-proof connection. With minimal contact resistance and a fail-proof, maintenance-free design, spring clamp technology ensures reliable performance. Additionally, the surface-treated copper current bar prevents oxidation, guaranteeing long-lasting, secure electrical contact.

Push-In: Connectwell offers the advantages of Push-In technology, combining tool-free wiring with exceptional speed and reliability. Designed for harsh industrial environments, these terminal blocks feature corrosion-free and gas-resistant materials that ensure long-lasting performance even under extreme vibrations. With a compact 3.5 mm width, the CP Series enables space-saving installations while delivering up to 400% faster connections. Additionally, standardized accessories help reduce inventory requirements, making the CP Series a smart and efficient solution for modern wiring needs.
Multiple Level Terminal Blocks are required for wire sizes from 0.25 sq mm to 4 sq mm. Since these will predominantly be used in control applications, the wire sizes will hardly exceed 4 sq mm. For wire size more than 4 sq mm, terminating on double level terminal blocks is not recommended, as it poses the risk of cable insulation cracking due to sharp bends required for higher diameter wires
