Connectwell CBB series Bus bar Terminal Blocks are used for wiring with Large cross section wires. These wires are generally crimped with Ring Lugs and connected to the Flat current bar of Terminal Blocks with help Fasteners provided to secure these wires.
Need of Terminal / Requirement of Specific Block
Busbar-type Terminal Blocks are widely used in power and distribution panels, as larger cross-section wires are used in these panels as incomers. These incoming cables are basically power cables which energize the panel and control the entire load. Busbar type Terminals are required for connecting these large cross-section wires, These incoming cables are either copper or Aluminium cables and are crimped with Ring-type Lugs. These Lugged wires are connected to Terminal Blocks using the Nut & Bolt arrangement provided in the Terminal Block.
Design speciality of Terminal Blocks
The Current Bar of the Busbar Terminal Block is made up of highly conductive copper and is integrated into the body in such a manner that it can be easily mounted on DIN Rail inside the Panel. The Body / Housing of the Terminal Block is made up of Polyadime 6.6 material which is an engineering plastic, which not only holds the Terminal Block on the DIN Rail but also sustains the pull-out force acting on the Terminal Blocks due to these larges cross-section wires.

These CBB series Busbar Terminal Block are available in two variants. The first version is with a regular Nut and Bolt arrangement where the wires can be connected using a wrench or a nut driver can be used for wiring. The second variant the Bolt has a slot on the top and is assembled in a threaded current bar, in this variant connecting wire is easier as compared to the regular variant as it can be operated by a screwdriver. These Busbar Terminal Blocks are available for wire sizes starting from 35 sq.mm to 185 sq.mm
